**Durability
Natural rubber is more durable and resistant to wear, making it the ideal material for high-use items like game mats and mousepads. It stands up to the test of time, ensuring your mat stays in top condition longer than mats made with other materials.
Since we’re using 100% natural rubber, you'll notice a rubber scent when you first unroll your new mat. Don’t worry – this is completely normal! Simply leave your mat unrolled, rubber side up, for a few days, and the smell will dissipate quickly, leaving you with a fresh, clean surface.
Natural rubber is more flexible than neoprene, so while our new mats may still develop creases when folded, they are much easier to smooth out compared to neoprene alternatives.
If your mat develops minor creases, unroll it and let it sit flat for a day or two, and they’ll release quickly, leaving you with a smooth, even surface.
You can also pop it in your dryer on medium heat with a damp towel for 10-15 minutes. Just be sure to remove it as soon as the dryer turns off.
